Logitech M235 Wireless Mouse
Wireless mice are a boon for folks who don’t like their workspace cluttered with wires, and instead prefer a clean look. And depending on the size, it could be easily carried around, suitable for mobile professionals who are constantly on the move. In review is an offering from Logitech, that comes with looks that suit the young, style-conscious crowd, the M235.
Actually, the M235 has been around for quite some time now, but this particular unit comes with a design from the Logitech Global Graffiti Collection. There are two variants of the M235 with the unique design: Black Topography and Pink Splash. Other than that, it’s business as usual, with a rubberized grip on both sides of the ambidextrous design. Powered by a single AA battery, the M235 is both power efficient and compact, making it very portable.
The M235 is an older model in Logitech’s peripheral collection, so it uses the tiny nano receiver instead of the newer Unifying receiver. But if you look at the bottom, you will see a small Unifying logo, meaning that you can use your newer Unifying receivers with the M235. This is definitely good news for folks who have limited USB ports, but multiple wireless peripherals.
Installation is very simple – just plug in the receiver to a vacant USB port, and after a short driver installation process (that is if you’re using Windows 7), you’re ready to go. Packing it up is easy as well, as you can just pop the battery cover open and put the receiver in the designated slot. In terms of ergonomics, the M235 works fine for either hand, though users with bigger hands will totally eclipse the mouse with their hand. So you might have to adopt a slight claw-like grip.
All in all, if you’re looking for a portable wireless mouse with a bit of flair, the new M235 by Logitech should be up your alley. Right now, the M235 retails at a promotion price of RM 49, from the usual price of RM 59, so get it fast!
