Review: Word Hunt 2

A sequel to the widely reknowned Word Hunt word search game, Word Hunt 2 doesn't hide behind elaborate graphics or terrible plot twists, its name suggests what it does down to a T, a game for keen-eyed word hunters on android.

As the name suggests, you're given a screen filled with hidden words and your job is to find and mark all the words nestled among the gamut of random letters. A little bar at the bottom shows you what words to find, while the words already detected are highlighted in colourful boxes to show you where it is. The only difficulty here is that the background is sometimes in a blaringly bright colour, so toning down your phone's brightness is a must.

You have the run of multiple puzzles on three difficulty levels and there's the option to play on a timer as well, if you're a speed demon. Once you've exhausted these, there's also an option to download additional puzzle packs for more eye-scrunching search attempts.

Easy controls and straightforward gameplay make this game what it is, and that extra boost in vocab is always welcome.
