Puchong, 7 March 2012: Green Office™, the emerging leader in green office stationary and equipment, introduces MagicScan, a lightweight, portable scanner that allows you to scan any A4 documents and images on-the-go.
MagicScan measures only 25 x 2.8 x 2.6 cm, and weighs only 145 grams and fits easily into any handbag, document bag, or laptop bag making it an ideal travelling work or personal companion. You can use it to make a copy of just about anything including articles, recipes, receipts, identity cards, business cards, wall paper, posters, and so much more.
With its Picture Direct, Scan and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functions, MagicScan offers a fast and convenient way to scan, archive and organize digital format files. Simply glide the MagicScan across the document or image, and a copy will be saved automatically into the scanner’s Micro SD card in JPEG or PDF format supporting storage up to 32GB, thus reducing paper usage.
Although small in size, MagicScan delivers top scanning speeds of less than five seconds for high resolution documents (600 x 600 DPI), and just one or two seconds for standard resolution documents (300 x 300 DPI). Its Contact Image Sensor captures 300 DPI at 217mm (scanning width) x 1200mm (scanning length), and 600 DPI at 217mm (scanning width) x 600mm (scanning length).
In addition, MagicScan is also operated on three AAA Alkaline batteries (not included) when an electrical power outlet is not available. When inactive for three minutes, the scanner will automatically power off to conserve battery life. The portable scanner also has a LCD display to show the scanning status.
MagicScan comes with Picture Direct Scanning software, which allows your scanned images to be inserted into other software and applications such as Microsoft Office, MSN, and Skype, among others. The OCR software converts and exports scanned files into the computer for editing. MagicScan is compatible with Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Mac OS10.4 and above. This is a plug-and-play devise, so simply insert the USB cable and make ‘magic’ with MagicScan!
