| Transcend Launches SSD Scope |

June 14 , 2012Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend), a worldwide leader in storage and multimedia products,today announced the launch of SSD Scope - an advanced diagnostic and maintenance tool that helps keep an SSD running fast, clean, and error-free. Developed for use with Transcend SSD products, SSD Scope brings together the latest technology for determining the condition and optimizing performance of an SSD into a single user-friendly tool.
Software Features
To monitor SSD health status, SSD Scope includes S.M.A.R.T. technology that can detect possible drive failures before they occur, alerting the user to any action required. Users can also perform a diagnostic scan of the drive for a more in-depth analysis. The SSD Scope Secure Erase function is used to thoroughly erase the SSD contents, ensuring that data previously stored will not be retrieved, even with sophisticated recovery methods. For Windows 7 users, SSD Scope includes a convenient tool for enabling TRIM, which helps to maintain optimum write speeds and prevent long-term SSD wear. Moreover, the SSD Scope software suite includes a convenient firmware update function for continued reliable operation.
System Clone
Transcend solid state drive products provide a more enjoyable, silent, and extreme computing experience. When upgrading an existing computer to the performance boost of a newly purchased Transcend SSD, SSD Scope’s System Clone utility copies the content from the currently installed hard drive onto the new SSD in just a few easy steps. After the cloning process is complete, simply swap out the drives and reboot. Users will experience the same operating system set-up as before but with significantly faster boot up, application launch speed, and data access.
